Students asked to write their initial understanding of perseverance.

After watching the video Rabbit Proof Fence, students brainstormed perseverance qualities that were exhibited by the characters. These were used to build a retrieval chart which they added to during the unit. Started with only 2 concepts initially added to the board as students developed new understandings.
