Concluding Activity

  • Ask students to make one generalisation to share about perseverance. Some possible generalisations may be:

    • using a role model for motivation you have to want to achieve a goal

    • develop determination

    • believe in yourself

    • even though you strive hard you may not always reach your goal

    • set small realistic goals

    • it helps having someone encourage you

    • you sometimes need a guide or supporter, some people use a coach

    • working with a partner can help

  • In their journals, students answer the question 'What was the most important learning you have learned from this unit?'
