Teachers Invite
Teachers invited to evaluate Science and Technology K-6 Syllabus
From 2007 to 2009, the Science and Technology K-6 Syllabus (1991), including its revised outcomes (1999), will be reviewed and redeveloped. Teachers are encouraged to attend consultation meetings during Terms 2 and 3 in 2007 at locations across NSW. The consultation meetings will gather teachers’ comments on the strengths and weaknesses of the current syllabus, with a view to seeking suggestions for improvements. See the schedule below for the date and venue of your nearest consultation meeting.
Evaluation surveys will also be sent to a structured sample of teachers in Term 2, 2007, to gather views on the current syllabus. Completed surveys are due to the Board of Studies by 29 June 2007. An evaluation report, including recommendations and broad directions for revision of the syllabus, will be prepared for the Board of Studies taking into account the feedback from the meetings and survey.
