Reading stage of texts
Generally most of the texts are at a reading stage appropriate to the stage for which the unit has been written. A few texts beyond and below the stage have been selected to cater for the range of students in a class. Books of interest, which the teacher may choose to read to a class have also been included.
These are suggested resources only. Teachers do not have to acquire these resources to teach the units. It is intended that teachers will select the most appropriate resources and the ways in which they adapt the units for their students.
